this is my Logitech quickcam web camera its a nice little web camera it does have sound built in and here im testing it. it works with all the major Instand messaging programs like AIM and video chat programs like Skype and Stickam. I have a new digital camera the Canon powershot A560 7 MP its a very nice camera if you are thinking of buying a new digital camera i would reccommend this one, it shoots in MJpeg video at 160×120 (Email) 320×240 (Normal) and 640×480 (HQ) with PCM 11.025 mono audio so Windows movie maker is supported, but copy the videos to your HD before importing them or youll get red X’s for some reason it does that to me and it may hang movie maker but I take the media card out of the camera and put it in my card reader and its fine and the videos made by this camera can be pretty big so id reccommend a big memory card like a 2 GB(Minimum) but they have 4 and 8 gig ones too especially if you shoot lots of videos for youtube. If you use a SDHC card make sure you buy an SDHC card reader, I bought one that plugs into USB and works just like a thumb drive. Don’t buy the cheap 30-in-one USB card readers that you find at the dollar stores b/c those do not work with the SDHC cards. Here is what mine looks like: t1.gstatic.com You can either buy this one but any high speed USB 2.0 SD card reader that supports the larger SDHC cards will work.

This is a test of my new SD4000 camera in a pretty low light environment. You cant tell from the video but it is very dark in the control room.

This is filmed at the same time. The condition is semi dark with a deep blue sky. The Ixus does add some noise, but are showing details that is invincible on the Kodak. Even so the Kodak is a very good performer, but does not stand a chance against a good compact, with HD function in low light conditions.

While I was out and about, I decided to go ahead and give my new Canon SX130 IS camera it’s first onboard break-in video. Even with the heat on, and the fans blowing, the video still came out good, though it is a bit large. Looks like I’ll have to buy a bigger SD Card (I currently have an 8GB, going to upgrade to a 16GB).
A timelapse test using CHDK Ultra Intervalometer script. Obviously a FAIL attempt at photographing Geminids (meteor shower). Too much fog, clouds, attemp was for an hour and too short, plus screwed up interval setting . I set the interval to 18secs but was too short and the cam skipped any shoot commands when it was still recording to the SD resulting in a interval of 37secs. After testing found out the required interval for the above setting was about 29 (note: the slower the shutter speed the longer the needed interval will be). This is a video of a session of StarFox Adventures for the GameCube. I filmed the session using a Canon Powershot SD 550, pointed at my projector screen. The Canon was held by a Gorilla Pod. The projector is a Sanyo PLV-Z4 Widescreen LCD Projector. I took the video as a test of the Canon’s video capabilities in low-light conditions and to showcase the projector. Kamalot
